It’s happening.

We did a big thing this week. We launched Entangle, which is going to be a two day immersive art exhibit packed with interactive installations, live music, independent film screenings, flash tattoos, spoken word, and much more.

This project baby has been living in my (Caitlin) dreams for about a year now, and seemed impossible to pull off. Fast forward to today and I’m doing it, but I’m not doing it alone.

I approached Rachel Lee-Carman about this idea sometime in late fall of 2023. I’m still not sure if she realized what she was getting herself into but I do know that she is the best person to be helming this project with me. Rachel is insanely creative, organized, and has the work ethic of a marathon runner: constantly pushing forward with relentless determination and stamina (thanks, ChatGPT). With her help, encouragement, and creative direction, I felt confident that together we could really pull this thing off.

The next step was to see if the creative community believed in the vision. We held an “info night” in the spring and I invited every artist I had met since I started doing house shows in the summer of 2022. We got the word out and the interest was there. I can proudly say that today we have over 30 artists signed up to participate in Entangle.

It’s been a wild ride - and we’re still in the middle of it - but I’m already in awe with what this event has succeeded so far. We’ve brought artists together and have provided an opportunity to challenge themselves and collaborate. We’ve shown folks who didn’t believe that they were artists that they, in fact, are (and so are you!). We’ve seen new friendships bud and inspiration ignite. All that to say: this event has already been a success.

We’re all very excited to showcase everything that has been culminating over the last few months and if you’ve read this far, you’re invited to experience it with us. Entangle will be making its debut in beautiful Bend, OR at Open Space Event Studios on September 13th & 14th. You can get your tickets here.
